It is really important to keep practising! Please see the schedule for Ruth Miskins Read Write Inc daily lessons below.
 
Remember when reading books, if you come across a word that you are finding difficult, look for the "Special Friends", "Fred Talk" and then say the word.
 
If you are having problems writing down words, use "Fred Fingers" to help you spell.
PE - Don't forget to join Joe Wicks an his exercise regime on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9.00 am live, or join in with the recorded session.
Rapid Recall
 
Rapid Recall is a quick fire, timed activity that we do before our main maths lesson. It is so that children build up their speed in recalling their number facts.

Guided Reading - Mama Panya's Pancakes
 
Below I have a copy of the pancake recipe from Mama Panya's Pancakes, but unfortunately the instructions have been mixed up. Can you use all Sequencing Suki's skills to put them in the correct order?
 
You can have pancakes at any time but once a year we celebrate a "Pancake Day. It is our Pancake day next Tuesday, 16th February 2021, it is also known as "Shrove Tuesday", when people make pancakes using things that they have in their cupboards before they enter "Lent" (a time when some Christians give up certain foods such as jams, chocolates etc.).
Computing
 
Today is "Safer Internet Day 2021". We endeavour to help the children use the internet in a safe way every time they use it through regular lesson and reminders. However today I would like us to focus on our digital footprint.

We have been exploring Kenya. Last week we looked at some of the physical features of the country, today we are going to meet some of the people that live there.

Today you are going to complete your story. Keep using the planning grids to make sure that you have included everything that you wanted to write about. Check your work. Read it to make sure it makes sense. If you need to make any changes, use a different coloured pencil.

Handwriting
 

When practicing your handwriting, make sure you are holding the pencil properly with a “frog legs grip”, the pencil should be held with your thumb and first (index) finger, the other fingers should be tucked up underneath.

Make sure that you are sitting comfortably, with your feet flat on the floor and make sure that your table and work are a good height, use a cushion to lift you up a little if you need to.
