Spring Term 2021

Spring 1: Mabe Matters

Essential Information for Autumn 2

Dear Parents and Carers,

As you are aware, we have gone into another lockdown. However, we are prepared for every eventuality so each week your child's learning will be uploaded at the bottom of this page.

Our main topic for this half term is 'Mabe Matters' and our Science topic is 'The Environment'. Please refer to the knowledge organised uploaded below to help support with your Science learning.  As always, there is not expectation that you complete all the activities each week. YOU DO NOT NEED TO PRINT MOST OF THE ACTIVITES, where possible I will make the tasks transferrable to a piece of paper to save on printing costs.

In addition to the daily learning, please make sure you are reading with your child as often as you can. If you don't have access to reading materials at home, we have a class login for Oxford Owl which offers a range of ebooks for all ages and levels. Please click on the link below and enter the username and password.

RE

Today we are going to be looking at who Jesus' twelve disciples are.
What do you think the word disciple means?
The twelve disciples were friends of Jesus who believed in his word, left their families and followed Jesus to spread his message.
Please go through the powerpoint on the twelve disciples and read their story.

After, please draw one of the twelve disciples and write their name. Underneath him, can you write some sentences on how you think the disciple is feeling?
Is he happy? What do you think? Please write why you think he feels like that aswell.
For example: He might be feeling sad because he has left his family behind, but he might also be feeling happy because he is doing something that he believes in.

I can't wait to see your responses :)
